Offsetting with Greenfleet Australia
Envirofleet has strengthened its commitment to sustainable transport by partnering with leading environmental organisation Greenfleet to offset the company’s monthly carbon emissions.
Registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), Greenfleet has delivered climate action for over 25 years, planting native, biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to restore nature, and capture carbon emissions on behalf of its supporters. Protected for up to 100 years, these forests help to fight the impacts of climate change by absorbing carbon, improving soil and water quality, as well as restoring biodiversity and creating habitats for wildlife.
“We’re proud to be partnering with Greenfleet to take meaningful climate action. This aligns perfectly with our organisation’s values and mission in maintaining a green transport model, with a fleet of luxury HEVs and further offsetting emissions,” said Managing Director, Steven Dimas.
“Being predominantly a corporate transport provider, we also recognise the importance of supporting our clients and their stakeholders in their own sustainability journeys,” Dimas added.
Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted more than 11.2 million native trees, created over 550 native forests across Australia and New Zealand, revegetated 10,950 hectares, and is on track to remove more than 5 million tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere.
This new partnership builds on Envirofleet’s history of carbon offsetting and reinforces its ongoing commitment to driving climate-positive outcomes in the transport sector. Previously, the company was offsetting emissions via Climate Friendly, which included supporting a range of major environmental and green energy projects in Australia and around the world.
